Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery. The candidate will have a strong academic background, and expertise in heart and lung procurement, organ assessment and resuscitation, ex-vivo organ perfusion, ECMO cannulation and management, as well as all aspects of Cardiovascular Surgery.

Requirements:

Cardiac surgical experience preferred but not required, preferably as an advanced trainee or staff surgeon with strong surgical skills. Other requirements include:

Expertise in lung and heart procurement and transplantationExpertise in ex-vivo heart and lung perfusion and normothermic regional perfusionExpertise in ECMO cannulation and managementEligible for Minnesota State LicensureInterest and ability in education, simulation, and research would be valued

Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across specialties, disciplines, and with all levels of staff.



Qualifications

Board-certified / eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery and eligible for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota.

Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for surgical specialties may range from $290,000 to $830,500. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
