**Position Overview:**
The HealthStream Administrator & Support Specialist manages the day-to-day front-end operations of the HealthStream LMS. This includes setting up courses, managing rosters, tracking completions, and handling user access. The role also provides Tier 1 support for employees using the system. In addition to system administration, this position is responsible for building and maintaining training content. Working alongside the Training and Development team and subject matter experts (SMEs), the specialist will use tools like Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and ScreenPal to create and deploy online training modules within the LMS.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Essential Duties:
LMS Administration:
+ Administer the HealthStream LMS and manage course/module creation.
+ Create and assign courses, manage user access, track completions, and maintain records.
+ Set up learning paths, assessments, and compliance assignments.
+ Coordinate with vendors or internal IT on escalated technical issues.
Training Content Development:
+ Build training modules in collaboration with SMEs and the Training and Development team.
+ Use tools like Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and ScreenPal to produce training content.
+ Ensure all training materials meet technical requirements for deployment in HealthStream.
+ Ensure that all instructional media meets accessibility requirements.
+ Accountable to the Director of Learning Media for this area of assigned work.
User Support
+ Provide Tier 1 support to users on LMS access and functionality.
+ Respond to support tickets, resolve issues, and escalate when needed.
+ Maintain user guides and job aids for common LMS tasks.
System Maintenance
+ Monitor course performance, learner progress, and LMS data integrity.
+ Run and distribute LMS reports as requested.
**Position Requirements:**
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
+ 2+ years of experience in LMS administration (HealthStream experience preferred).
+ Experience building online training content using tools like Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or ScreenPal.
+ Experience in healthcare or training environments with regulatory requirements.
+ Familiarity with data reporting from LMS platforms.
Skills:
+ Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
+ Basic understanding of instructional design principles.
+ Strong organizational and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Special Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI and learning content standards.
+ Working knowledge of HTML
Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment: Must be able to sit at a computer desk for eight hours each day.
Degree of Supervision: Minimal
