What You’ll Do

As a Patient Intake Specialist, you will serve as a vital patient advocate, supporting our nurses as they review and authorize medical treatments for US-based patients, the patients and their families through a critical time in their lives.

During a Typical Day, You’ll

Support nurses, case managers, clinical team, and patients and their families with empathetic and timely responsesProvide a superior patient experience through inbound, outbound calls and secure patient messaging portalPerform appropriate screening and escalation of calls to the clinical team.Calls external facilities and providers as neededTakes inbound calls to coordinate patient authorizations

What You Bring to the Role

Experience in direct patient support duties in either a medical setting such as a doctor’s office or hospital or previous direct patient care contact center experienceExcellent English written and verbal communicationPatient, compassionate, and professional personality with a strong service orientationDemonstrated problem solving skills, critical thinking and good judgement to quickly determine and prioritize issuesExcellent time management, flexibility, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.Ability to work remote with reliable high speed internet
