We're hiring for a remote Cost Accounting Analyst to join our team. In this position, you will work with an awesome team of cost analysts and health ministry (HM) resources. We provide cost results for approximately 135+ acute hospitals/physician practices, with expansion to include multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers and other facilities. Strata Performance Manager is the cost accounting system utilized.
Primary Objective:
Serve as a key liaison for HMs to facilitate understanding, explanations, monitoring, and improvement of cost results.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliations between Strata Performance Manager and PeopleSoft income statements.Maintain and update business unit department details and implement monthly cost system updates.Process and validate cost for assigned HMs, including data integrations, GL data remapping to better align for cost accounting purposes, perform overhead and service item allocations.Perform audit of cost results at various checkpoints.Identify, investigate and resolve issues and inquiries by collaborating with the cost team, chargemaster contacts and HM resources.Review chargemaster details for reasonableness concerning price, volume and relative value units (RVUs).Prepare and post monthly cost audit reports.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word (required).Knowledge of MS Access (desired).Familiarity with Google Workspace (desired).Understanding of general ledger accounting (desired).Experience with Strata Performance Manager (desired).

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Demonstrated capability to manage priorities effectively.Self-starter with flexibility to adapt to changing demands and priorities.Ability to work with minimal supervision, essential for a remote position.RequirementsEducation:
