Cleveland Clinic's G81 ENT/Plastics & Internal Medicine Unit is a dynamic, dual-service unit comprised of an 8-bed ENT/Plastics specialty stepdown and a 24-bed Internal Medicine unit. The patient population spans a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions, including head and neck cancer, complex surgical flaps and grafts, renal failure, diabetes, hypertension, pneumonia, sepsis, and multi-system organ failure. Caregivers are cross-trained to float between both services, providing a unique practice environment that blends high-acuity internal medicine with critical care-level surgical management. **A caregiver in this role works nights| 7:00pm-7:30am.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients. + Respond to patient call lights and make rounds. + Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. + Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources. + Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care. + Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + 1 year of experience in a customer service-related role + Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + College degree + Microsoft Office experience **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. + Requires frequent data entry, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. + Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing and vision. + Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $18.25 Maximum hourly: $24.95 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
