The J7-3 Cardiology Stepdown Unit is for patients with heart issues that are about to have procedures such as open-heart surgery and pacemaker implantation. With a strong focus on providing psychological safety, this unit's team of caregivers are well supported and team oriented. **A caregiver in this position works day/evening rotation, 7:00am - 7:30pm or 3:00pm - 11:30pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients. + Respond to patient call lights and make rounds. + Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. + Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources. + Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care. + Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High school diploma or GED + 1 year of experience in a customer service-related role + Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + College degree + Microsoft Office experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
