Become part of our team and join our mission to make life healthier for everyone in our community! **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** This opportunity leverages a background in physical, occupational, speech or recreation therapy to oversee Harborview’s Inpatient Rehab Therapy and Psychiatry Therapy teams. Develops and oversees the departmental cost centers to assure alliance with and adherence to the organization's mission, vision, values, strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and business strategies. Emphasizes service excellence, patient safety, staff safety, fiscal responsibility, organizational integration, and leads the departments in overall program development and service priorities. Provides leadership for clinical activities that promote: • Effective managing, developing, and evaluating the competence and satisfaction of assigned workforce. • Effective operational problem solving and communication at all levels • Effective interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration and service coordination • Effective evaluation of departmental practices, policies, and continuous process improvement. • Effective planning and evaluation of space, resources, numbers, and skills of staff to fulfill mission • High quality, evidence-based and outcomes driven patient care Managing staff: Interviewing, hiring, and reviewing clinical need for positions. Conducting annual performance evaluations, consistent rounding with staff, corrective action and other HR interactions. Assigning staffing and scheduling, time off requests, as well as assignment of patient schedules to meet staff ratios. Manage inpatient rehab admissions coordination process and regulatory needs related to inpatient rehab admissions in close collaboration with acute therapy and physical medicine and rehabilitation consult team. Manage data collection to meet psychiatry and inpatient rehabilitation quality improvement and compliance measures as well as data related to TBI, SCI, and CVA populations across the continuum of care as it relates to rehabilitation therapy services. Present data during regulatory meetings and track overtime for trends. Identify program opportunities related to trends and measures collected. Lead and participate in multidisciplinary meetings on Psychiatry and Rehab that look at quality of service delivery as well as supporting hospital goals of improving through put, length of stay efficiency, as well as quality service delivery. Engage with behavioral health leadership to optimize utilization of therapy services on inpatient psychiatry. Contribute to quality improvement projects and meetings on psychiatry with a focus on decreasing length of stay while optimizing outcomes. **REQUIREMENTS** Current license to practice as a therapist in the State of Washington. Master’s Degree from an accredited school of speech, occupational, physical or recreational therapy. Licensed clinician with at least 6 or more years of Inpatient rehabilitation and/or Psychiatry clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Recreation Therapist.
