What you’ll do 

Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned, but they may include: 

Perform field safety audits.Conduct industrial hygiene assessments.Risk assess industrial hazards.Support union and salary safety concerns.Work with employees and contractors from a range of backgrounds to ensure company policies and procedures are followed.Present safety topics/trainings to a range of audiences.

Who you are 

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: 

Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon request (e.g. passport, Social Security, etc.).Available to begin work on or around September 8th, 2025.As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid U.S. driver's license is required.Previous experience is considered an asset.Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices.Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education 

Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program studying Health & Safety or related disciplines at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.

Working Conditions

May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.Employees may have to work outside in a variety of environmental conditions.Must be comfortable working at heights and climbing vertical ladders.

  

Safety Sensitive

This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.Safety sensitive positions may require the operation of a motor vehicle. Applicants may be asked to provide a valid U.S. driver’s license if offered the position.

Relocation

Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses.
