Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role
The main purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of Health and Safety. This includes elements of Business Continuity and Emergency Response Planning.
Key focus will be placed upon transitioning away from reactive ways of working to a more proactive approach followed by strong standardization and embedded continuous improvement practices
Your day-to-day could include:
Health & Safety
Provide Health & Safety support to One Firm Services.
Organise workstation assessments and prepare documentation as required.
Develop, schedule and carry out Health & Safety risk assessments, compliance initiatives and audits as and when required.
Coordinate training programmes such as First Aid Certification and Fire Wardens and maintain a list of current certifications.
In conjunction with the Facilities Team and the building Landlords, coordinate the Emergency Egress Training and trial evacuations processes.
Maintain and manage the Health & Safety registry system to ensure near misses; incidents and accidents are captured accurately and where required investigations are initiated.
Organise and lead regular Health & Safety meetings.
Ensure that First aid boxes are kept stocked and in-date.
Ensure that there is a sufficient supply of suitable personal protective equipment (PPE), and supplies are available for all PwC offices.
Develop and oversee the electrical Test & Tag process for all sites.
Work collaboratively with the People Experience team to ensure alignment between Health & Safety and the wider wellbeing strategy for PwC New Zealand.
Visitor and Contractor Management
Audit Visitor and Contractor management systems to identify risks / hazards and develop / implement new software, processes and standard operating procedures to address any gaps
Business Continuity - Crisis Management & Incident Response
Support business continuity by being an active participant in the NZ Crisis Management & Incident Response Team
Reporting
Develop and implement monthly Health & Safety Metrics / dashboards
Co-author Health & Safety and Wellbeing Reports with the People Experience team
Travel
This is a national role with oversight across 5 regional offices. Travel will be required from time to time to carry out audits, training and general Health and Safety related duties.
These responsibilities may be amended or varied from time to time

Health & Safety Certification
Demonstrable experience in a similar Management role a must
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
