What You'll Bring:
A Bachelor’s Degree in HSE/Safety or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a HSE or safety leadership role. Alternatively, a minimum of 7+ years in heavy civil construction management without a degree. Proven expertise in managing safety on multiple large-scale projects, with a track record managing projects exceeding $25 million in revenue. Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations, with the ability to oversee compliance and conduct inspections. Exceptional skills in risk assessment, job hazard analysis, and incident investigation, paired with the ability to develop and implement effective safety training programs. Valid driver’s license, with the willingness and ability to travel—including overnight and long-distance trips—to field sites.Nice to Have:
Certifications such as CSP, OSHMS, or NEBOSH. Experience with subcontractor safety management, pre-planning safety measures, and implementing innovative risk reduction techniques. Familiarity with safety management software and tools to enhance oversight and reporting.Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant safety, engineering, or environmental disciplines. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible HSE experience in heavy civil construction projects, especially those valued at $25 million or more.Additional Requirements:
Willingness to operate company vehicles (e.g., Ford F-150). Ability to travel extensively to various project sites.
