Health & Safety (EHS) Analyst - São Paulo


Key Responsibilities:


• Development of all environmental and/or safety needs with focus on any of the following: radiation plan/controls, ergonomics, and/or hazardous materials; design the emergency response plan, implementation and following up of any other required plan
• Research, analyze, and evaluate data to create routine reports (e.g., data collection) in response to internal requests
• Investigate cause for EHS incidents from employees and deviations from compliance and recommend sound corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders
• Organize and manage annual election for firefighter, Employee committee, Internal Week for the Prevention of Accidents at Work (SIPAT) and other campaigns carried out by Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA)
• Review and ensure documents are accurate to provide to government agencies in coordination with the occupational health provider
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with EHS goals and programs
• Provide EHS expertise for new processes, new products, and technologies and participate in the change control process of the site
• Develop and revise EHS training and written programs to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations; may deliver training as necessary
• Develop an internal plan to conduct periodic internal inspections and audit at the site to ensure continuous compliance with applicable regulations; and provide guidance to appropriate team members
• Act as liaison with government agencies
• Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory in coordination with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales & Clinical Team) including Bio Safety Training, and inspect equipment for damages on an annual basis Review monthly radiation control report, monthly dosimeter management
• Provide documentation to the team and/or third parties, when needed
• Provide monthly follow-up of pending medical examinations, organize annual campaign of medical examinations, schedule hiring examination, dismissal, return to work and change of function.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree 2 Years knowledge Required or Master's Degree or equivalent in internship, senior projects, or thesis in Engineering, Scientifc, or EHS related including either industry or industry/education Required

Additional Skills:
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
• Advanced English and Spanish is a plus.
• Good computer skills in usage of of MS Office Suite
• Good documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiation and relationship management skills
• Solid understanding and knowledge of EPA, local and national regulations
• Solid problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Solid understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environment Health & Safety
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Ability to work in a team environment, including the ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders
