VF Corporation has a brilliant opportunity for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our European team on a 12-month contract, based at our modern offices in central Nottingham!

Let’s Talk about the Role
As the Health and Safety Coordinator for all operations across EMEA, you’ll contribute to the VF’s Health, Safety, Fire, Wellbeing and Environmental initiatives.
The primary responsibility is to provide support to the EMEA Health & Safety Team by making sure all of our associates are safe, and VF complies with all local regulations and corporate requirements.
As a key collaborator, you’ll build great working relationships with different departments and generate a positive safety culture throughout VF.
How You Will Make a Difference
The Health & Safety Coordinator will help support the EMEA Health and Safety Team in ensuring our ways of working, our culture and behaviours are compliant with Health and Safety Legislation and VF Corp requirements.
Some of the tasks will include but are not limited to:
Supporting the EMEA H&S Team with the event application process, liaising with local H&S Advisors in country regarding local requirements
Supporting the EMEA H&S Team with data administration surrounding events and issues including accidents, near misses, audits etc.
Supporting the continuous development of safety tools, programs, reports and training across all locations, ensuring a consistent message to minimize risk and control losses
Monitoring and reviewing audit action plans to ensure best practice
Preparation of H&S information for various Safety Groups
Supporting EMEA H&S Team (including H&S Advisors) with procedures and training
Support compliance with VF global health and safety standards and country regulations
Developing and updating the H&S documentation and shared files, using various IT platforms and systems to do so
Skills for Success
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in Health and Safety. We are really open to the industry that you come from, we are looking for the right transferable skills and a passion for your work!
Other transferable skills and interests that will help you in this role are:
An enthusiasm towards learning and contributing to the welfare of all.
Previous exposure in an administrative role using IT systems and databases, MS Office, Smartsheets, Excel etc.
Great written and verbal communications skills, and an understanding of how to communicate with different audiences and people across the business
An excellent team player, pro-active, dynamic, flexible and solutions focused.
Its not essential but a 2nd European language could be really beneficial and assist in communicating with contacts in other European countries
Able to work independently and use initiative, whilst also being a great team player who can collaborate and contribute
Great organizational skills, a methodical approach and the ability to manage several projects and tasks at any given time
There could be some travel to other VF sites in Europe, so flexibility and a willingness to travel on occasion, will be required
