Essential Functions

Analyzes medical records to identify deficiencies and assigns deficiencies to the appropriate health care providers for completeness. Monitors work queues for health care provider refusal and reassigns deficiencies as appropriate. Responds to health care provider questions regarding record completion.

Physical Requirements
Majority of time is spent sitting at a desk. Work requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. Work is performed in an open area with a high level of activity and interruptions. Must possess a high level of concentration. Employee must maintain competencies appropriate to clients served.

Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Medical office or Health Information experience preferred. Knowledge of window based functions required; basic medical terminology preferred. RHIT/RHIA or RHIT/RHIA eligible preferred.
