JOB GOALS: Provides support to school site operations with specific responsibilities under the direction of the Director of Operations or designee; coordinates with other personnel in supporting students in documenting activities in accordance with established guidelines and/or regulatory requirements; and assists and conducts mandated health screenings and services. Complies with 504 and IEP requirements, Charter Authorizers and Alameda County Department of Health/Education. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: (Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below. This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or abilities associated with this classification, but is intended to reflect the principal job elements accurately.) ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: - Administers health-related tests as needed and when necessary - Emergency preparedness regarding all health relation district requirements - Collaborate with the Director of Operations to align School Safe Plans for the district to align health protocols and internal standard operating practices. - Manage and record test results. - Work with teaching staff/administrators to properly inform of student health modifications or accommodations needed. - Maintain confidentiality according to state, local and federal guidelines. - Administers medication, CPR, school-related exams, and other procedures and maintains a medical log of care. - Participate in supporting various health screenings, immunizations, training, and other specialized tasks such as health assessments as needed. - Ensures that students are meeting health screens and immunizations. - Ensure SIS systems health modifications or medications are updated throughout the school year. - Works on outreach with health partners to bring health programs to our district. *Select Full Job Description for full Job Requirements
View Job Description Requirements / QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: - Preferred experience with children in community health setting LICENSES & CERTIFICATES: - A valid driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance. - Requires fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice. - Proof of valid TB clearance - Evidence of LVN license as approved by the state of California. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: - The ability to work with others and respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner. - Knowledge of HIPAA, HHS, and OCR, compliance requirements as applied in a school setting. - Knowledge of safety precautions required by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OHSA) guidelines. - Ability to administer medication and other appropriate medical procedures and effects. - Ability to present in workshops and trainings. - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Flexible and efficient in high-pressure situations - Well-organized and able to multitask projects and prioritize responsibilities - Knowledge of relevant software applications and systems including medical recording systems and educational systems - Proficient in the use of email and the internet
