Head - Project & Operations (COO)

1. Project Leadership & Timely Delivery

Lead end-to-end project planning and commissioning as per scheduled timelines. Drive accountability across teams and vendors to meet project milestones. Escalate and resolve bottlenecks to maintain project momentum.

 

2. Project Planning & Initiation

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business strategy. Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies using Primavera and Microsoft Project (MSP). Conduct feasibility studies, site evaluations, and secure necessary approvals.

 

3. Project Execution & Monitoring

Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and quality. Track project milestones using KPIs and digital dashboards. Implement best practices in project management and execution.

 

4. Operational Management

Oversee the operational management of manufacturing facilities post-commissioning. Ensure seamless transition from project phase to commercial operations. Conduct performance testing, validation, and readiness audits. Establish SOPs and protocols for ongoing operations.

 

5. Machinery & Equipment Selection

Lead selection, installation, and commissioning of key machinery including: RBD (Rod Breakdown) Machines Multiwire Drawing Machines Bunchers Stranding Machines Extruders Sheathing Lines Coiling Machines Testing Equipment (Lab Equipments) Ensure equipment meets technical specifications and operational efficiency targets. Collaborate with OEMs and vendors for timely delivery and support. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

 

 

6. Vendor & Contractor Management

Identify and evaluation of Vendors and Contractors

 

7. Safety, Quality & Compliance

Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards across all project phases. Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and industry-specific regulations. Drive quality assurance and control through audits and inspections.

 

8. Budgeting & Cost Control

Manage project budgets with a focus on cost control, ensuring financial discipline and proactive variance reporting.

 

9. Digital Transformation & Technology-Driven Plant

Champion smart manufacturing technologies (e.g., IoT, SCADA, MES). Integrate digital tools for real-time project tracking and analytics. Drive automation in commissioning and operational readiness. Promote a digital-first culture across project and engineering teams.

 

10. Proficiency in Project Management Tools

Utilize Primavera and Microsoft Project (MSP) for detailed project planning, scheduling, and resource management. Use AutoCAD for design coordination and layout planning. Leverage digital tools for real-time project tracking, reporting, and analytics.

 

11. Stakeholder Engagement & Statutory Approvals

Manage stakeholder alignment and regulatory engagement for plant setup. Secure all statutory approvals including power, water, environmental, and safety clearances.

12. Land Acquisition & Coordination

Oversee land acquisition by coordinating with legal and government bodies to ensure timely procurement and conflict-free possession. Education Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engg. MBA (Operations/Project Management) Certification Required PMP, Six Sigma  Primavera, MSP and AutoCAD. Experience 20–25 years of experience in setting up and managing large-scale greenfield and brownfield projects in the Wire and Cable or allied manufacturing industry. Proven track record in project execution, plant commissioning, and operational management. Experience in managing cross-functional teams, contractors, and technology partners.
