We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of VAT (m/f/d) to lead our VAT function and ensure full compliance with Value-Added-Tax regulations across all jurisdictions in which we operate. This is a key leadership role within the tax department, responsible for shaping and executing the company’s VAT strategy, managing risk, and supporting business operations with expert VAT advice. Our Head of Tax will accompany our digitalization path and optimize the processes in this regard.
Responsibilities
Manage comprehensive internal VAT advisory support across the Group to ensure robust VAT compliance and mitigate VAT risksDevelop and implement VAT strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirementsEnsure VAT compliance by timely and accurate filingsWork alongside with professional tax advisors to obtain accurate, timely and practical advice on VAT mattersMonitor new VAT legislation and advise business operations on their impact on the businessLead and develop the VAT team in their technical and personal skillsCreate measures for effective teamwork and collaborationDrive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance VAT reporting and complianceSupport tax team and operating entities in M&A activities from a VAT perspectiveQualificationsAcademic degree in tax, economy, or law.Certified Tax Consultant (preferred)7+ years working experience in the field of VAT.Fluent English language skills (written and spoken).Strong stakeholder orientation with respectful und open-minded communicationHigh level of analytical skills.Demonstrated success in a team-based environment.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.Public speaking and presentation skillsHigh degree of personal responsibility and goal-oriented work.
