Head of Supply Planning, North America

Job Description

As Head of Supply Planning for North America, you will play a critical senior leadership role in driving business performance through a highly effective, customer- and market-focused supply planning organization. Your main focus will be to lead and integrate all Supply Planning activities across the Continent, ensuring efficient and commercially relevant execution that delivers strong business results, healthy inventory, high availability, and sustainable profitable growth.

You will own the end-to-end supply planning process, from demand translation and buy quantification through allocation, replenishment, and inventory optimization, always balancing customer needs, market realities, operational efficiency, and business performance.

This role requires a highly strategic, forward-thinking senior leader with a strong track record of delivering measurable business results in complex, fast-paced environments. You bring the ability to connect long-term strategic direction with operational execution, while building strong partnerships across teams, functions, markets, and global stakeholders to ensure alignment, clarity, and speed in decision-making.

As the primary Continent voice for Supply Planning towards both Continent, General Manager’s, Commercial Team’s and Global leadership, you will influence key business decisions, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvements across systems, processes, and ways of working to strengthen execution and enable future growth.

Success in this role requires exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities. You can navigate across multiple senior leadership forums with confidence, communicate with clarity and impact, simplify complexity, and create strong alignment across diverse stakeholders and teams. You are a trusted partner who can challenge constructively, inspire collaboration, and mobilize teams around common business priorities.

Equally important, you will lead and inspire the leadership team by building a high-performing organization grounded in accountability, collaboration, business ownership, and continuous development. You lead with equal focus on both the “what” and the “how”, consistently delivering strong business outcomes while fostering an inclusive, values-driven culture and strong cross-functional partnerships.

This on-site role reports into our Managing Director for North America and is based out of the New York Support Office.

Driving Business Performance Through End-to-End Supply Planning

Lead the totality of Supply Planning activities across the Continent, ensuring planning decisions effectively support business goals, customer expectations, and market needsDeliver strong and sustainable business results through efficient, agile, and commercially relevant supply planning execution across all marketsOwn and steer the end-to-end planning process from demand translation and buy quantification through allocation, replenishment, and inventory optimizationDrive high availability, healthy inventory levels, stock efficiency, and strong sell-through performance while balancing profitability and customer experienceProactively identify business risks, opportunities, and structural challenges, translating insights into actions that improve performance and strengthen future readinessAct as the escalation point for complex or cross-market supply and allocation challenges, driving swift resolution and alignment across stakeholdersContinuously improve ways of working, planning parameters, systems, and decision-making processes to strengthen efficiency, responsiveness, and business impact

 

 

Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

Serve as the primary senior representative and spokesperson for Continent Supply Planning towards Continent leadership (MD Continent, General Managers and Global stakeholdersAct as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner across senior leadership forums, contributing with strong business acumen, strategic perspective, and solution-oriented thinkingBuild strong partnerships across commercial, product, logistics, controlling, and global planning teams to ensure aligned priorities and integrated business executionRepresent the North America perspective in global forums, ensuring market realities, customer expectations, operational complexities, and commercial opportunities are reflected in decision-makingInfluence strategic direction through data-driven insights, strong business judgment, and forward-thinking planning recommendationsDrive alignment across teams and peers through collaborative leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate complexity with clarity, confidence, and speedCommunicate clearly and effectively across all organizational levels, translating complexity into actionable direction and ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and understandingPartner closely with Global Supply Planning to enhance systems, planning tools, governance, and process effectiveness to support long-term business growth

Qualifications

Who You Are

10+ years of experience within Supply Planning, Commercial Planning, Supply Chain, or related business functions in retail.Proven track record of delivering strong and sustainable business results in complex, fast-paced, multi-market organizationsStrong senior leadership profile with demonstrated success influencing business direction and leading through complexity and transformationExceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across senior leaders, peers, and teams globallyStrong strategic and forward-thinking leadership capabilities with the ability to translate business strategy into operational execution and measurable outcomesDemonstrated success leading large teams and driving performance through collaboration, accountability, and strong people leadershipStrong commercial mindset with deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, inventory optimization, and operational efficiencyProven ability to lead through complexity, prioritize effectively, and drive alignment and decision-making across multiple stakeholdersStrong focus on both the “what” and the “how” — consistently delivering results while fostering collaboration, inclusion, and strong values-based leadershipBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field

Compensation: salary range is $252,000-$327,500
