Head of Strategy and Business Development for Hospital Patient Monitoring
The Head of Strategy and Business Development for Hospital Patient Monitoring at Philips leads the development and execution of short- and long-term business strategies, ensuring alignment of resources, technology, and processes with organizational goals. Acting as a subject matter expert and key liaison between executive leadership and operational teams, they drive cross-functional collaboration, monitor strategic initiatives, and analyze market trends to support informed decision-making. This role focuses on advancing the Hospital Patient Monitoring business unit and integrating it with other units within Connected Care to maximize value for Philips, while also developing strategic frameworks, stakeholder networks, and training programs. **Your role:** + Drives strategy and policy development for HPM and Connected Care, aligning with organizational vision. + Advises on resource planning, tech adoption, and process alignment as a strategic thought leader. + Leads cross-functional collaboration, bridging executive strategy with operational execution. + Develops KPIs and analytics frameworks to track initiatives, assess risks, and optimize strategies. + Conducts in-depth market and industry analysis to support high-impact strategic decisions. + Reviews business cases and proposals using data-driven insights and competitive intelligence. + Offers expert guidance on complex business, technical, and design challenges across functions. + Prepares and presents strategic reports to leadership, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and actions. + Builds strategic relationships across functions, using negotiation and influence to drive key initiatives. **You're the right fit if:** + Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Science, Engineering or equivalent experience. + Minimum 11 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 9 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Strategy Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Growth Strategy, International Business or equivalent + Medtech experience or experience working for s strategy consultancy focusing on medtech with functional or P&L execution responsibility combines for 12+ years + Experience in cardiac monitoring and/or hospital monitoring and commercial operation + You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. + You're an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with company management and outside business associates. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and highly matrixed organization are required. **How we work together:** We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
