Head of Specialist Organization, WWSO Korea

Specialist Organization (WWSO) Lead Korea will act as the single threaded leader for all specialist sales, specialist GTM, and specialist SA in Korea. He or she will;
• Lead the way in how AWS takes innovative new services and products to market
• Identify potential new services through analysis of market opportunities
• Develop plans on how to take and select new services to Korean market through incubation and on to mainstream adoption
• Work closely with Korea Sales teams, Tech teams, and cross functional teams
• Must be comfortable with engaging and influencing APJ/WW Service teams (WWSO) as most of the responsibilities will have inter-dependencies with other teams within AWS
• Possess a key understanding of AWS services, the ability to define the GTM strategy for these services
customized to the local area and monitor and influence the execution of sales.
The ideal candidate will possess a skillset that blends a deep business and technical understanding of the Specialist Services including their key value propositions, intended customers GTM strategies that are aligned with Area’s to build the business.

Key job responsibilities
• Own the specialist sales revenue number and goals from Korea perspective with the aim of building robust independent specialist service businesses
• Own building/modifying/curating/executing sales campaigns and GTM Strategy for specialist services along with the WW/Geo Specialist teams and Area sales teams. The aim will be to focus Area sales team on campaigns that maximize immediate revenue while working on big-rocks that will lead to long-term sustained growth
• Build cross-industry and cross-service sales plays for Area teams to execute
• Work with service teams on deal escalations and for feeding back product-market fit and ensuring service fit to customer demands
• Act as the Area STO for the WW Specialist teams ensuring they fit in and work with the local sales teams as a pan-geo team
• Work with Field Enablement(FE) team to ensure appropriate skills-upgrades for Sales Reps and Account Managers
• Manage customer experience issues for major customers working with Area Tech team
• Work with Area marketing and PR to prioritize their teams time for ensuring the successful execution of top-of-funnel activity for specialist services
• Lead and incubate market making activities for new technologies and go to market approaches
• Build the strategy for “the next billion dollar”- Service Plays that can help tap into market segments that are emerging but can be major revenue earners in future years.
