About the role:

As Head of Sourcing Turkey, you’ll be the strategic lead for all raw material and packaging sourcing activities for our plant in Turkey. You’ll drive cost efficiency, supplier excellence, and sustainability while collaborating with global and local teams to ensure Barry Callebaut continues to deliver the finest chocolate in the world.

 

Key responsibilities:

Lead sourcing of raw and packaging materials for our Turkish plant. Manage and coach a team of buyers, setting strategy and monitoring performance. Own key financial KPIs: margin improvement, cash flow, trading business. Analyze global and local commodity markets (cocoa, dairy, sugar, fats & oils). Define and implement sourcing strategies aligned with EEMEA VP Sourcing. Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring best value beyond price. Collaborate with QA on supplier audits and performance improvement. Support R&D and Product Development with sourcing for innovation. Partner with Sales, Production, and Logistics to align sourcing with business needs. Drive sustainability initiatives in line with our Forever Chocolate commitments. Ensure compliance with purchasing processes and contracts. 

 

About you:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field. 10+ years of relevant sourcing experience, ideally in FMCG or food industry. Strong knowledge of MS Office and SAP. Fluent in English and Turkish. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability. Proactive, resilient, and eager to learn and grow.
