We are looking for a strategic, customer-obsessed leader to serve as the India Head of Social Media. This is a people-manager role responsible for shaping and executing the social media vision for Prime Video India across both AVOD and SVOD businesses. You will lead a team of social media marketers, manage agency partnerships, and drive measurable business impact through innovative social storytelling that builds brand love, drives content discovery, and grows our audience. Key job responsibilities
•Strategic Leadership: Define and own the holistic social media strategy for Prime Video India across AVOD and SVOD, ensuring both tiers are well-represented and differentiated in social communications
•Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of social media managers and specialists; set clear goals, foster a culture of experimentation, and drive professional growth
•Cross-Business Integration: Bridge social media efforts across AVOD and SVOD businesses, ensuring cohesive brand storytelling while tailoring messaging to distinct audience segments and value propositions
•Brand & Voice Ownership: Own Prime Video India's social brand identity, tone of voice, and personality across all platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, and emerging platforms); constantly evolve our voice to stay culturally relevant
•Agency & Partner Management: Lead relationships with creative, media, and social agencies; set briefs, evaluate output quality, and ensure partners deliver to a high bar
•Campaign Orchestration: Oversee the planning and execution of social campaigns across content launches (originals, acquired, live sports), cultural moments, and brand-building initiatives for both AVOD and SVOD
•Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks for social media performance; drive a rigorous test-and-learn agenda to optimize content, formats, and platform strategies
•Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with content marketing, PR, media planning, product marketing, and international social teams to ensure alignment and maximize cross-channel impact
•Platform Innovation: Stay ahead of social platform trends, algorithm changes, and new features; pilot emerging platforms and formats to maintain competitive advantage
•Cultural Relevance: Champion locally relevant, insight-driven social content that taps into cultural moments, fandom, and the Indian internet zeitgeist to build deep emotional connections with audiences
•Community & Reputation Management: Oversee social listening, community engagement, and crisis/incident management protocols; ensure a high bar on customer interactions
•Budget Management: Own the social media marketing budget for India; drive efficiency and ROI across organic and paid social efforts
•Global Collaboration: Work closely with international social media teams to share best practices, learnings, and scalable solutions while adapting global strategies for the Indian market
