We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Sanctions.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

Accountable for implementing policy for the Sanctions framework to meet requirements and legislation in HSBC Singapore, across all legal entitiesAccountable for implementing the Bank’s strategy, policy and standards, controls, systems and policiesLead the team to work with relevant contacts in Global Businesses and Global Functions to ensure consistent and effective application, and implementation, and controls to evidence related Sanctions standards, policies and proceduresAct as the Risk Steward providing advice to the Global Businesses and Global FunctionsResponsible for providing independent review and challenge the activities of the 1LOD to have met the standard of risk management and risk reportingResponsible for advising and guiding in setting risk appetite; providing policy guidance, definition; and performing oversight activitiesReview policy dispensation requests from country/regionTo provide strategic direction and guidance to with respect to Sanctions related issues including the development and implementation of a robust risk management framework

Seasoned professional with experience in Compliance, preferably Sanctions rolesSignificant leadership experience and an experienced strategic thinkerExcellent communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levelsAbility to develop practical, risk-based and cost-effective solutions to manage complex sanction issuesAppropriate qualification related to Sanctions will be preferredStrong understanding of Sanction regulations and staying up-to-date with regulatory developments
