In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the P&L of driving manufacturing excellence, growth, and profitability of our Rolling Stock components, including propulsion equipment (e.g., converters, motors, gearboxes, and bogies). This encompasses both local manufacturing within the USA and optimizing a global supply chain that spans across the USA, Europe, and Asia. This position reports directly to the President of Rolling Stock North America, with a strong connection to the global Siemens Mobility Components business engineering and manufacturing network.
What your day-to-day will look like:Lead and manage direct technical sales, engineering, and project execution. This includes cultivating strong customer relationships to deeply understand their needs and deliver tailored product solutions (customer intimacy).Oversee manufacturing operations in multiple plants across the USA, ensuring continuous improvement and striving for operational excellence in the production and delivery of our components.Lead the main factory for Rolling Stock components with a team size of approximately 150. Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and quality across all product operations.Drive collaboration across global teams, demonstrating strong international experience. This includes aligning global product strategies with local customer needs to enhance overall service and product delivery.Cultivate and maintain strong connections within the rail industry, including owner-operators and OEMs, ensuring our product solutions are always aligned with market demands and customer expectations.Navigate regulatory landscapes and ensure compliance with "Buy America" initiatives, demonstrating robust operational adherence to all requirements for our manufactured products.To thrive in this role, you have:Strong leadership experience to inspire and lead large teams towards common goals.Validated international experience with a track record of driving collaboration across global teams, with an understanding of how to harmonize global capabilities with local customer demands.Extensive experience within the Rail Industry and a deep understanding of product business dynamics.Established connections with owner-operators and OEMs in the rail sector, demonstrating a dedication to customer intimacy and market understanding for product and system offerings.Experience in the field of industrial product manufacturing would be advantageousDemonstrated experience working with regulators and understanding "Buy America" requirements, reflecting a dedication to operational compliance and excellence for manufactured products.A clear commitment to driving operational excellence through process improvement, efficiency gains, and quality assurance in a product-focused environment.Ability to build and maintain established customer relationships, understanding their evolving needs and translating them into successful product development and business opportunities.Proven experience in running and growing a product business, from conception to market delivery and beyond.If you are a results-oriented leader with a passion for innovation, a commitment to operational excellence, and a proven ability to drive product business success through deep customer intimacy in the rail industry, we encourage you to apply!

The pay range for this position is $200,000 - $275,000 annually with a target incentive of 35% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
