Head of Residence Colnbrook IRC (Band 4) – Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre

Heathrow IRC are currently recruiting for a Head of Residence for Colnbrook IRC.

£55,000 per annum 

Car, pension, health insurance and bonus scheme. 

A brief highlight of the main duties associated with the role is as follows:

 

Oversight of all residential units within Colnbrook IRC to ensure the units are decent, safe and secure. Line management of operational Service Delivery Managers and overall responsibility for residential DCOMs and DCOs. Form part of the Duty Director roster, with a requirement to cover weekends and on call as per the schedule. Responsibility for performance against KPI's as appropriate, working closely with our Head of Business Assurance and compliance team. Responsibility for the allocated budget for the function and ensure that any spend is appropriate and in line with company policies. To maintain and improve on the recent HMIP report and oversee a service improvement plan for Colnbrook IRC residential areas. Work closely with other SMT colleagues to promote innovation and best practice and resolve any common issues. Manage relationships with external stakeholders. Identify and oversee projects within the department.

 

 

This role forms part of the Senior Management Team at Heathrow IRC and reports to the Deputy Centre Director.

 

You should be working at SDM/DSM (Band 5) or functional head level (Band 4) within Mitie C&C or be able to evidence significant previous experience of working at this level within a secure setting/custodial environment.  Serious incident management training (Silver Commander) is required.

 

Given the nature of the duties, the role is based at Heathrow IRC, with no opportunity for remote working.
