The Head of Research and Scientific Collaborations for GB & Ireland at Siemens Healthcare is responsible for leading the scientific team, ensuring adequate resources and processes are in place to drive research and collaboration between Siemens and academic partners across all modalities. This role involves day-to-day line management of the scientific team, reporting to the Zone lead for Diagnostic Imaging.

Responsibilities
• Perform line management duties, including day-to-day management of expenses, leave, recruitment, job definition, competence management, and performance reviews. • Engage with and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction among scientific luminary sites in GB&I. • Drive continuous improvement in the delivery of scientific support and collaboration management. • Act as the point of contact for management regarding all academic interactions. • Ensure smooth and efficient communication and collaboration between modality groups, Sales-CRM, Applications, and Technical Service teams in relation to luminary sites. • Effectively deploy resources to support modality groups, applications, project management, and customer services with scientific luminary sites. • Understand the grant funding landscape and how it relates to luminary sites. • Co-supervise UK-based Siemens-funded PhD students. • Prepare and release supporting documentation to contribute to the success of academic partners. • Drive and maintain close working relationships with BU modality groups. • Ensure full transparency of activities at HQ and regional levels regarding collaborations. • Work with cross-functional and cross-Business Unit teams to align strategy and realize new product releases to ensure successful interactions with the research community. • Develop relationships with key customers and foster closer academic/industry collaboration. • Understand the legal and compliance landscape in relation to scientific support mechanisms. • Interact effectively with all levels of management within healthcare. • Participate in advisory committees, steering groups, and research panels as appropriate to increase Siemens Healthineers profile in the academic and research community. • Provide budget information for scientific related activities (e.g. workshops, sponsorships, events and meetings)
Collaboration Officer
The applicable Business or Regional Unit’s Collaboration Officer shall be responsible for the following: • Defines and owns the process for all Collaborations covered by this Directive • Ensures that all Collaborations are in compliance with Directive D_103 and other applicable regulations • Reports non-compliances with this Directive to the Compliance Officer responsible for the Business or Regional Unit • Is the central contact person regarding Collaboration topics • Nominates a proxy and communicates the proxy’s name to the Collaboration Office • Ensures that for every Collaboration an adequately trained Collaboration Manager is assigned • Ensures that all services provided from another legal entity in the course of a Collaboration are financed by its Business or Regional Unit based on an Intercompany Agreement • Shall be trained in this regulation, compliance regulations and CLMA by the respective Functions or qualified trainers • Ensures that all required documentation is stored in CLMA
