Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking the Head of Project Management / Construction Management will be responsible for leading and managing multiple large-scale projects across diverse sectors, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, client engagement, and technical expertise in project planning and execution. Experience in the semiconductor industry and data center projects will be considered an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Build and lead a high‑performing PM/CM organization delivering multiple concurrent projects across sectors.
Own resource planning, competency development, succession planning, and performance management (KPIs, QA/QC, governance).
Mentor Project Directors/Managers, Planners, and Construction Managers; instill a culture of safety, integrity, and accountability.
Implement PMO frameworks, stage‑gates, and lessons‑learned for continuous improvement.
Coordinate seamlessly with Cost, Design, and Advisory teams to ensure integrated delivery.
Provide executive reporting and risk briefings to the Executive Director.
Client Management:
Act as the senior client interface, driving engagement strategy, satisfaction targets, and account growth.
Lead steering committee and progress meetings; manage expectations, scope, approvals, and change proactively.
Resolve issues and disputes through transparent reporting and solution‑oriented communication.
Build long‑term relationships that position AECOM as partner of choice.
Project Delivery:
Lead end‑to‑end PM/CM from initiation to closeout: charter, WBS, schedule baselines, critical path, EV analysis, risk & contingency, and reporting.
Direct construction delivery: site mobilization, HSE oversight, quality assurance, inspections, commissioning, and handover.
Define procurement strategies (EPC, Design‑Build, traditional); lead tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract awards.
Administer contracts (e.g., FIDIC or equivalent); manage change orders, claims, payment certification, and final accounts.
Maintain robust dashboards and executive reports; ensure delivery on time, cost, and quality with traceable performance metrics...
Proposal & Business Development:
Lead pursuits and bids: develop delivery methodology, staffing plans, schedules, risk registers, and competitive differentiators.
Build fee models and pricing strategies, craft commercial qualifications and assumptions.
Produce high‑quality technical write‑ups, case studies, and presentations; engage confidently with C‑suite stakeholders.
Partner with BD, sector leads, and regional leadership to enhance pipeline and improve win rates.
Technical Expertise:
Proficient in Planning & Scheduling using Primavera P6 (and MS Project); strong command of WBS, baselines, CPM, EV, and schedule risk.
Integrate cost/schedule and 4D BIM where applicable; drive data‑driven project controls (e.g., Power BI dashboards).
Hands‑on leadership in delay analysis (EOT, disruption), claims preparation/defense, and dispute resolution.
Deep knowledge of construction execution, QA/QC, commissioning, and statutory approvals; apply PMO governance and standards
Specialized Experience:
Proven delivery across Real Estate (commercial, residential, mixed‑use), Hospitals/Healthcare, Industrial, Airports & Aviation, Urban Development.
Added advantage: experience in Semiconductor facilities and Data Centers—mission‑critical MEP, cleanroom standards, fast‑track procurement, reliability‑driven commissioning.
Track record leading large programs/projects with complex multi‑stakeholder and multi‑contract interfaces.
Strong commercial outcomes on major programs, especially where delay claims and schedule recovery were pivotal.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (planning, baselines, CPM, resource loading) and MS Project.
Strong project controls: earned value, schedule‑cost integration, risk registers, and performance dashboards (Excel/Power BI).
Contract administration with knowledge of FIDIC (or equivalent) forms; tendering, bid analysis, negotiations, and awards.
Construction delivery expertise: HSE, QA/QC, inspections, commissioning, and handover.
Executive‑level report writing, analytics, and decision support.
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / construction management / project management or a related discipline.
Master’s degree (e.g., Construction/Project Management / MBA) is an advantage.
Experience:
20+ years of progressive experience in Project Management and Construction Management.
Proven track record as Project Director / Project Manager on large, complex programs/projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple projects, manage senior clients, and deliver predictable outcomes.
Rich sector exposure: Real Estate, Hospitals, Industrial, Airports, and Urban Development; Semiconductor/Data Center experience is a plus.
Hands‑on experience with delay claims, EOT/disruption, change management, and contractual administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional credentials: PMP, PMI‑SP, AACE (e.g., PSP/CEP); MRICS/FRICS is a plus.
Experience in Semiconductor/Data Center environments and mission‑critical assets.
Exposure to digital transformation in PM/CM (4D BIM, data automation, standardized reporting).
Familiarity with regional procurement norms, statutory approvals, and large program governance.
Experience working in global consulting / PMC environments with structured governance frameworks.
