Job Responsibilities Define and obtain all engineering information required to complete a design project in conjunction with the Project Manager in a manner that meets the design schedule. Manage the Project Management team (~ 10 roles including Project Management Supervisor, Project Managers and etc.) as the functional leader. Verify and/or develop system processes based on cycle time, cost, product quality etc… Provide Technical/Manpower project requirements to assistance the Proposal and Estimating Department in preparing quotations. Compile and monitor job budgets. Provide to the Project Manager documentation in writing on all issues that effect cost and timing. Issues may include, lack of information, expanded scope of work, non- feasible job specifications etc… Conduct Shop line-up meetings to assist in the commissioning of equipment at Fori and in the field. Attends weekly Production meeting Work jointly with the Service department to plan and execute the field/customer site scope of work by providing organization resources, technical leadership, troubleshooting and etc. Schedule and organize customer approval drawings and attend customer approval meetings when required. Provides technical assistance to Proposal and Estimating Department Communicate with customers verbally and in writing regarding engineering related issues. Monitor design progress relative to the project schedule. Specify and order any purchased sub-equipment required for a project (such as bowl feeders, conveyors etc…) meeting project scope, budget and timing demands. Provide build follow-up assistance. Provides proper and timely information to Purchasing Department. Designing, checking and detailing as required to meet timing. Job RequirementsMinimum of (10) years’ experience in Project management.
- Minimum of (10) years’ experience in automotive automation.
- Overall accountability for design / build / install projects – able to manage multiple projects
- Will act as the key customer contact
- Responsible for project financial results including performance to budget, cash flow, change management
- Responsible for tracking of open issues and driving them to closure
- Accountable for on-time delivery
- Leadership skills including leading technical teams
- Technical experience of tooling / material handling / robotics, preferably with an engineering background
- Technical Degree- PMP certification preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication, and organization skills
- Proficient at Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
