Head of Product Management, Amazon - Japan Consumer Innovation
Description Amazon Japan is accelerating its innovation agenda by building new services to enable selling partner success and growth that expand how brands and manufacturers engage with customers, grow their business, and unlock new opportunities to surprise and delight customers We are seeking a Head of Product Management to lead the development and scale-up new initiatives for Amazon Japan levering new technologies and building new capabilities. This role spans end-to-end product leadership, from vision and strategy to science integration, business development, operational delivery, and P&L ownership. You will work across Retail, Tech, Legal, Finance, and Science teams to design a scalable solutions and services that empowers our selling partners and brands to grow in entirely new ways. This is a rare opportunity to build, with the potential to define a new category of services across Amazon’s infrastructure. Key job responsibilities - Define & Own the Vision: Develop the long-term product and program vision for new solutions and services that unlocks new value through data, science, and scalable workflows. - Product Strategy & Execution: Lead the product roadmap, user experience design, and technical delivery of core capabilities, enablers and platform modules. - Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner across science, engineering, retail, design, legal, and operations to ensure seamless delivery and clear ownership of platform components and business outcomes. - Business Development Enablement: Unlock new opportunities and ways of partnership. - Operational Design: Build scalable mechanisms and SLAs to support platform workflows (e.g., approvals, contracting, analytics), including internal SOPs and partner engagement models. - Financial Ownership: Own business case modeling, revenue forecasting, and entitlement tracking. - Executive Stakeholder Management: Communicate services performance, expansion opportunities, and strategic direction to Amazon Japan and Global leadership. Basic Qualifications - 8+ years of team management experience - 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end to end product delivery - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product Preferred Qualifications - Experience relying on analytics and data to cultivate deep customer empathy, shape product decisions and track effectiveness of change - Experience working with a cross-functional team across design, operations, and engineering team to meet high-reaching goals - Experience in identifying a customer need, building a product to meet that need, and launching that product Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
