**Primary Function**
Edit high profile projects and manage a team of Editors and post professionals within a corporate storytelling team. Help to set standards for creative, quality, and best practices. Liaise with producers and editorial team to create and conceptualize effective messaging and communications in the form of video stories. Provide an overall vision of the finished piece and provide team guidance to ensure that the finished project meets that vision. Oversee creative resource operations and overall edit workflow. Ensure proper post resources are allocated per project and deliverable milestones are met.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Responsible for editing and the creative consistency of deliverables, and day-to-day management of the edit workflows being performed in post-production
Develop innovative and cutting-edge editing and design concepts and oversee projects through the creative process with the Creative Supervisor
Make creative decisions regarding the editing of projects based on written scripts or input from producer, creative director, and/or client, and ensuring quality control and consistency on final project. Arrange and layer visual content, sound, motion and graphics to make the parts into a continuous whole, leave an impact, and evoke desired response from audience.
Coordinate all aspects of post-production and editing as needed; interface with client and producer; work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met and offer creative solutions for each project
Provide mentorship and professional development recommendations to post team in support of continuous improvement and skill advancement.
Be proactive in establishing and maintaining relationships with internal clients, staff and freelancers. Work with Senior Team Managers to ensure that post personnel are utilized in the most efficient manner.
Facilitate equipment and software recommendations and upgrades. Work with stakeholders to research and recommend new technologies that may enhance post production workflows.
Working in tandem with client data and asset management/retention guidelines, maintain archiving and data standards, communicating with producers and post-production staff to ensure all video and related assets are managed properly
Work in the most proactive, creative and professional manner to provide the highest level of service to clients and staff
Special projects and other duties as assigned
**Skills & Qualifications**
Leadership initiative, energy and enthusiasm for the industry and a passion for developing staff
Ability to listen, ask relevant questions, and give creative direction for video
Able to tell a story with clarity, pace and creativity of content and technique
Capable of innovative and effective concept development and storyboarding
Cutting edge command of modern digital video production, equipment and processes
Proficiency with After Effects, Premiere and other editing, motion, and graphics software
Solid understanding of asset management, MAM/DAM systems, and evolving cloud solutions
Proactive problem-solver and a team player
Customer service orientation; professional presence and superior client relationship skills
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Ability to work effectively with senior management and production colleagues in a corporate environment
Ability to manage direct reports and contractors in an in-person and remote office environment
Fully capable of identifying niche talent and assigning talent resources for various project types
Ability to switch from one project to another quickly and effectively; ability to quickly prioritize and reorganize events, projects and resources
Ability to manage and resolve conflict quickly and effectively with solutions-oriented approach
Must have a commitment to excellence and to ongoing education in video production and to the mastery of their craft
**Education & Experience**
Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Design, Video/Film Production, Communications, Business or related field is preferred
Direct supervisory experience is required
10+ years’ experience in corporate creative services or broadcast media, agency experience preferred
5+ years of experience in Production & Post-Production technical workflows for HD
Must have excellent samples that demonstrate creative work for major clients
