Head of NAMER Marketing Ops, NAMER Customer, Industry and Partner Marketing
Description The Head of NAMER Marketing Operations is a vital role on the AWS NAMER Marketing team. In this role you will work closely with NAMER marketing leadership andand the broader AWS Marketing organization to continuously improve processes, drive execution excellence, and deliver marketing results. You will manage a team of Marketing Operations professionals and have direct responsibility for the following operational disciplines: Analytics & Reporting, Lead Management, Financial Management, Business Management, Marketing Technology, and People Engagement and Optimization. You will also act as a Chief of Staff to the Director of NAMER Marketing. This is a data-driven role that has the opportunity to influence marketing programs and the type of data the team looks at to make strategic decisions. This role also has the ability to improve how the NAMER CIPM organization performs by developing policies, programs, training, and processes to increase team productivity, return on investment, and execution quality. This role may sit in one of the following locations only within the US only: Austin, TX, USA | Chicago, IL, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA Relocation offered to one of these locations only from within the USA only for external applicants. Key job responsibilities • Lead NAMER Marketing in goal setting, budget and headcount management, and marketing efficiency tracking, ensuring KPIs are in-place to measure success • A strong team player – comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders • Ensure interlock between marketing and sales on goals, strategy and programs, and help build a culture rooted in collaboration and aligned objectives • Write narratives that clearly breakdown our business problems with the support of data and provide recommendations for solutions • Build reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com, Tableau, and QuickSight to provide visibility into marketing results, measure effectiveness, and track goal attainment • Use statistical analysis models to predict trends, identify issues, and forecast future goal attainment • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis in response to management requests • Act as the primary project owner of the team’s communications hub and central communications plan • Build a tracking and reporting structure for managing the team’s annual budget and periodically report out on operational spend against forecast to ensure there are no overages or underspending • Manage training programs that drive team adoption of tools and reporting sources, and operational processes A day in the life Why AWS Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. Basic Qualifications - 10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience - Experience managing teams - Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements - Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) - Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications - • Track record of developing and managing multiple programs simultaneously - • Knowledge of marketing budget and financial accrual process for budget forecasting and tracking - • Deep understanding of the Demand Generation Funnel and its various stages - • Deep analytical, critical thinking and metrics-based reporting skills - • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal - • Highly organized and detail-oriented - • Excellent project management skills - • Not afraid to try new things – driven to constantly improve results - • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot and problem-solve. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
