We are looking for an experienced and strategic Logistics Manager (SI LOG MX) to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient Supply Chain for Mexico and Central America, optimizing processes, and maintaining cost-effective solutions, focusing on Customer satisfaction and developing a digital transformation in the operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, inventory management, supplier management and collaborate with various departments to optimize the flow of materials and products in compliance with local regulations.
Position Overview:
Siemens Mexico is looking for a Logistics Manager for our SI Logistics organization, the position will be based in Guadalajara Mexico but must have the ability to support other regional locations. The Logistics Manager will be an integral member of a diverse and dynamic team, that offers the chance for you to grow, contribute and learn as far as your growth mindset takes you.
Our SI LOG MX is responsible for Material Master data, Order Management, Logistics, Warehouse and Transportation. Main priority is automation, digitalization and improving Customer Experience. Focus on high service level, lead time reduction and cost efficiency.
The SI LOG MX is responsible to manage the Siemens Jalisco, taking care of administrative, operational, EHS and P&O related topics in the office “Galerias” and the distribution center “Santa Ana” located in the Metropolitan zone of Guadalajara. The logistic organization in Jalisco has more than 135 professionals and attend the distribution process for Mexico, Center America and Caribbean Islands.
The SI LOG MX is coach and sponsor of the Customer Service Center Guadalajara, ensuring the success and business continuity of this nearshoring service organization.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership, vision, and strategic direction for Siemens Smart Infrastructure for Mexico and Central America Logistics organization and drive accountability.Creating a culture of innovation by ensuring the company’s time, resources and focus keep innovation in the logistic processesWork supporting the North America HUB from a regional standpoint, as a key leader within the region, development and implementing logistics solutions.Lead the Mexico logistics team, optimize organizational structure, streamline policies/procedures, and implement lean logistics techniques.Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiencyManage logistics operations within all the functions.Monitor inventory levels of the Distribution Center to minimize waste and ensure timely deliveries.Negotiate in collaboration with SCM contracts with suppliers, carriers, and service providers.Analyze logistics data and key performance indicators to enhance efficiency and productivity.Active participation in the digitalization strategy process and operating mechanisms to track progress and implementation of strategic initiatives against objectives in the logistic and supply chain management Collaborate with other departments to align logistics operations with business objectives.Facilitate the smooth Collaboration in the factories/BUs & workshops in the country, contribute to definition and set up of value chain that ensures competitiveness and use cross-country synergies where relevant Develop a comprehensive, inclusive strategic plan and growth strategy by collaborating with the senior leadership and BU /Factory Management, which determines the enterprise's overall vision in logistics Ensure a compliant business behavior and serve as a Role Model for the SI LOG MX community and beyond by living and promoting ownership culture and entrepreneurship. Ensure compliance with Siemens Guidelines, Customs & Safety regulations and Industry standards.Lead and train logistics team members to maintain operational excellence.Plan and manage departmental Budget.Team development and carrier path design.Location management for Office space and Distribution Center facility.Your qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.15 -20 years of working experience with solid knowledge in Business operations, Proven experience in logistics management or supply chain operations.Proven ability to work successfully in a multi-national environment and a matrix organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems and digital mindset.Leadership skills to guide and develop a high-performing team.Experience with international logistics and customs regulations.Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).Familiarity with nearshoring strategies and their impact on logistics.Strong written and oral communication in English and Spanish.Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand sense of urgency.
