The Role:
As Head of Internal Communications, you will provide strategic direction and leadership in line with our feminist approach and values. You will lead a significant wide-ranging transformation of our employer brand, work in collaboration with P&C colleagues to develop and deliver strategies that re-engage and inspire colleagues around Oxfam’s brand, mission and values, and create a staff community committed to progressing the organisation’s aims.
You will also lead the internal communications team to deliver on these strategies.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
Experience of leading, transforming, and determining the overall strategy for the internal communications functions using approaches obtained working with various brands and organisations. A positive, collaborative leader that can role model Oxfam values and inspire others to do the same. High levels of emotional intelligence. Experience of managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential, including increasing diversity and inclusion in teams and / or workplaces, and creating positive change in work culture, processes and practices. Lived experience(s) or evidence of learning/taking action on anti-racism and inequalities. A track record of developing & leading effective employer brand strategies in a fast-paced, values-led environment. Expert understanding of brand and storytelling, and how they apply to employer brand building. Significant experience of ‘activating’ internal audiences to become brand advocates and play an increased role in campaign or change agendas. High level expertise of digital collaboration tools and approaches and their role in delivering colleague engagement plans. Excellent presentation & facilitation skills, with proven ability to build collaborative, safe, open and inclusive design processes. A data driven leader who can foster a culture of accountability, and continuous improvement
through testing and learning.
