We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Head of - Interface (Construction) specialising in Onshore LNG Projects. This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:
Title: Head of - Interface (Construction)
Start Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)
Duration: 36 months (potential for extension)
Location: Onshore (site based)
Working Schedule: 6-days per week / 10 hours per day
Job Purpose:
To identify, develop, coordinate, expedite and steward closure of all commercial and physical EPC contract interfaces with external parties (Kahramaa, RLIC, QP, EPC Contractor and MME), providing overall guidance and leadership in close coordination with the Project & Interface Manager and proposing solutions to ensure compliance with local authority requirements. The role will be located at the RLIC site —the role serves as the single point of contact, working across Company groups and mirroring counterpart organizations to secure stakeholder alignment, expedite approvals, represent the EPC contract’s interests, and maintain fully documented action logs and meeting minutes.
Key Accountabilities: Reports to Project Interface Division Manager Manage all External Interfaces between EPCs, Kahramaa, RLIC and MME. ensure comprehensive, multi-functional review of all requests and meets Project objectives, requirements, budget, and schedule. Assess information on overall Interface Agreements (IA) process performance and implement improvements ensuring that the process is fit for purpose, accepted by the EPC Contractor, is appropriate, well established and maintained. Manage guidelines and procedures necessary to support and control the Interface Agreement (IA) process within NFS and NFW Onshore Project organisations. Plan and organize the interface works and activities based on identified interfaces and priorities. Provides clear, accurate, timely, and consistent two-way communication with other organizations (internal & external) with respect to the exchange and alignment of interfaces related information and documentation. Provide leadership and accountability for the NFW Onshore Project’s interface with External parties. Timely Identify and report area of concerns or unresolved interfaces issues to the Project & Interface Division Managers, Responsible for ensuring timely evaluation, co-ordination, expediting and approval of Interface Queries (IQ) and Agreements (IA) as per the provisions of the Section 4 of the Exhibit 5. Promote clear, accurate, timely, and consistent communication with internal organizations with respect to transferring interface information and documentation. Implements and maintains the EPC Contract interfaces related works and activities. Review, coordinate comments to support approval of the EPC Interface Management Plan, in accordance with the Section 4 of the Exhibit 5. Support organising of Interface Management Workshops with the Project & External stakeholders, as required to achieve mutual understanding of all parties involved and meet Project objectives. Attend Interface Weekly and Monthly meetings; attend to the Project Monthly Meeting with EPC Contractor. Ensure minutes of meetings are issued and steward close out of action including update of the Interfaces Registers and Databases. Responsible for generating weekly and monthly Interface reports. Provides input to weekly management reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree’s in Science or Engineering
Knowledge and/or Experience: Twelve (12) years of interface management experience in large scale oil and gas projects including 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Proven project management and execution experience including Brownfield execution. Proven experience as Discipline Engineer, Project Engineer, Interface Engineer and Interface Head. Experienced in developing and leading effective project interface organizations. Previous work experience with LNG Operations and / or Qatarenergy is an advantage. Previous work experience in Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) is an advantage. Proven expertise in Interface Management across Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning phases within oil & gas projects. Strong technical background with mutli-disciplinary engineering knowledge and system integration experience Expected to have general awareness of requirements of project External Interfaces with QatarEnergy (QE), Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), Kahramaa, Ooredoo, Ministry of Environment and climatic control (MoECC) and Other stockholders (e.g QSGTL, Dolphin Energy, Barzan, Gasal, etc.).
Technical & Business Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills. Excellent oral and written English skills. Able to write technical reports in English. Skilled in Project Controls, risk/change management and adherence to QA/QC and HSE standards. Excellent communicator and negotiator with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities. Proficient in Interface documentation, reporting tools, and ensuring alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.
