Antal International is exclusively recruiting for their client, an industrial manufacturing company based in Iasi, the role of Head of Human Resources.

Qualifications required:

BSc/Bachelor’s degree BSc in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or relevant field MSc /Master in Human Resources Management

 

Responsibilities:

1. Organizational & Workforce Planning

Develop and execute a comprehensive workforce plan aligned with the production ramp-up necessity  Define the optimal organizational structure for each production stage. Plan and manage the staged increase of headcount

 

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Lead a large-scale recruitment program for operators, technicians, engineers, shift leaders, and administrative staff. Implement fast, reliable hiring processes to support continuous production and minimize downtime.

 

3. HR Operations, Policies & Compliance

Establish and manage all HR processes: hiring, onboarding, time & attendance, payroll, benefits, performance management, training and employee relations.

 

4. Employee Integration & Cultural Transformation

Design onboarding programs for new hires and re-training programs for existing staff. Build a culture of safety, discipline, accountability and continuous improvement.

 

5. Professional and Managerial Training

 

6. HR Budgeting & Cost Control

Manage HR budgets, payroll costs and workforce-related CAPEX/OPEX. Support the plant’s EBITDA improvement by optimizing workforce efficiency and staffing levels.

 

7. Employee Relations, Trade Union Interaction & Retention

Maintain constructive relations with employees and worker representatives. Lead structured cooperation with trade unions, including negotiation of collective agreements, conflict prevention, and social dialogue.

 

8. HR Reporting & Corporate Governance

Provide regular reports on headcount, labor costs, productivity, recruitment progress and HR KPIs to the CEO and Group HR.

 

Core competencies:
 

Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Project management and change-management capabilities. Analytical mindset with strong HR reporting and budgeting skills. High resilience, adaptability and hands-on approach.

 

Languages abilities:

Romanian – native, English – advanced

 

Professional experience:

• 5+ years in HR leadership roles (HR Manager, HRBP Lead, Head of HR), ideally in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial production.

• Proven experience in scaling organizations, mass recruitment, and managing blue-collar workforces.

• Experience working with trade unions and collective labor agreements.

• Strong knowledge of Romanian labor law; experience with EU-based industrial operations is an advantage.

• Experience in transformation or turnaround environments is highly desirable.
