Job Title: Head of Hook-Up
Job Purpose:
Lead the execution oversight and hook-up of offshore workscope (including brownfield activities) safely and efficiently, ensuring quality and integrity. Act as the single point of contact between offshore and onshore project management teams, with support from offshore commissioning leadership as needed.
Oversee hook-up, brownfield, and shutdown scopes, ensuring compliance with specifications and procedures.
Manage the offshore execution team and validate daily progress reports.
Coordinate morning calls with the onshore team to report concerns and support requirements.
Provide input into execution strategies and procedures.
Identify and mitigate offshore risks to protect milestone and RFSU dates.
Review and endorse offshore permits and interface with discipline specialists to resolve queries.
Participate in planning workshops (e.g., schedule, risk, HAZOP).
Represent the project in offshore risk screenings, PTW, and operations meetings.
Review deliverables for compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
Support contractor execution improvements by promoting oilfield best practices.
Collaborate with PMT functions to align shutdown needs and execution plans.
Implement brownfield and shutdown processes and promote continuous improvement.
Monitor and report KPIs to ensure performance targets are met
Candidate Requirements:Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent higher education with experience
Experience:
10+ years managing offshore hook-up and brownfield work, including 3 years in a senior offshore role
Strong understanding of brownfield engineering standards and offshore construction operations
Technical & Business Skills:
Fluent English, strong technical and problem-solving abilities
Effective planning, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and general IT systems
