Main Purpose of the position:

 

The Head of Finance Operations leads the Finance Operations department within the Shared Services Center (SSC), overseeing Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R) functions. The role is directly responsible for managing 3–5 Section Managers, ensuring operational excellence, service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement across finance processes. This position plays a key role in driving efficiency, standardization, automation, and high-quality customer service for internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do:

Leadership & People Management

Lead, mentor, and develop 3–5 Section Managers and their teams across P2P, O2C, and R2R. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence. Ensure effective succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement.

 

Operational Delivery & Process Excellence

Oversee day-to-day delivery of P2P, O2C, and R2R processes, ensuring compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and internal controls. Drive standardization and process harmonization across finance operations.  Collaborate with global and regional finance teams to ensure alignment with company policies and strategic goals. Ensure effective month-end and year-end closing activities, balance sheet integrity, and accurate reporting.

 

Governance, Risk & Compliance

Maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance, tax regulations, and corporate policies. Monitor audit requirements and coordinate with internal/external auditors. Mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.

 

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and digitalization within finance operations. Identify opportunities for cost optimization, productivity enhancement, and quality improvements. Support global projects such as ERP rollouts, system enhancements, or process migrations.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the main point of contact for senior finance stakeholders regarding Finance Operations performance. Build strong relationships with internal business partners, ensuring high satisfaction and proactive issue resolution. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on operational performance and improvement plans.

Professional skills you possess:

Education & Experience 

Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage. 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in SSC/GBS leadership roles and 2-3 years in a similar role  Strong track record in managing P2P, O2C, and R2R processes. Proven people leadership experience, managing managers in a multicultural, international environment.

 

Skills & Competencies

Deep knowledge of finance processes, ERP systems (NAV, SAP, Oracle, or similar), and finance transformation initiatives. Strong leadership, coaching, and change management skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities. Results-driven, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
