Head of Finance Job Description The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the organization’s financial strategy, planning, and operations. This role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership. The Head of Finance ensures the financial health of the organization by providing accurate insights, managing risk, and supporting long-term business growth. This position may be hybrid, depending on business needs. Experience working with international teams is preferred, and fluency in Hebrew is a plus. Responsibilities + Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives. + Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial planning and growth initiatives. + Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis. + Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. + Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. + Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. + Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance. + Deliver financial statements, executive dashboards, and performance reports. + Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis. + Lead budgeting processes and track performance against financial targets. + Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial governance. + Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements. + Oversee internal and external audits and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors. + Identify and mitigate financial risks. + Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounting team. + Drive a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. + Optimize financial systems, processes, and workflows. + Partner with operations, HR, and other departments to support business initiatives. + Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders as applicable. + Support investor relations, banking relationships, and external partnerships. Essential Skills + 8–12+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting. + Proven leadership experience in a senior finance role. + Experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial operations. + Strong expertise in GAAP and financial reporting standards. + Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills. + Proficiency in accounting and financial management systems. + Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. + High level of integrity and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). + MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (preferred). + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (highly preferred). + Experience in a hybrid or global work environment. + Fluency in Hebrew or ability to work with Hebrew-speaking stakeholders. + Experience with manufacturing and Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. Work Environment The position is primarily office-based with the flexibility to work in the office two days a week, which are non-set days depending on the rest of the team's schedule. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $170000.00/yr. health insurance, 401K plan, vacation days, paid holidays and sick leave. You will be eligible to the employer’s match under the Company’s 401K plan after you have completed 6 full months of employment with the Company. (c) Paid Time-Off: You will be eligible to earn up to fifteen (15) days of paid vacation per calendar year, which will accrue monthly on a pro-rata basis. Vacation days not used in a specific year can be accumulated for use in future years up to a maximum of ten (10) days in total. Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Stafford,VA.
