Job Description

This role is designed for a finance professional who thrives on working closely with commercial, operational, and corporate teams to drive business performance, while also possessing a strong technical background in accounting, ERP systems, and financial controls.

Will report to the Regional Finance Manager, this role will serve as the finance business partner for the facility in Norway. The successful candidate will support budgeting, forecasting, and business case development, while ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational execution. This position requires a hands on professional who combines strong business partnering skills with the ability to review and, when necessary, directly perform accounting and reporting activities

Key Responsibilities

FP&A & Business Partnering

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and rolling projection processes for Norway, ensuring alignment with regional targets and business strategyAct as a copilot to the business, providing financial insights, decision support, and recommendations to commercial and operational leadersReview, challenge, and validate forecasts, pricing strategies, and customer profitability analysesBuild and evaluate financial business cases for investments and growth initiativesTrack and validate savings initiatives, cost reductions, and process improvements with operational teamsPrepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunitiesManage submissions to corporate systems (HFM), ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting

Controlling & Compliance

Oversee local financial control processes and ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP, company policies, and local regulationsSupervise, review, and validate work performed by Shared Service Centers or local staff, stepping in directly when needed to complete activities such as reconciliations, GL postings, and ERP processesEnsure accurate and timely execution of month-end close, including fixed assets, inventory, AR/AP, intercompany, payroll accruals, and other accounting areasSupport local statutory and tax compliance, including VAT filings, in collaboration with external advisors where neededAct as the primary point of contact for government authorities and auditors in NorwayMaintain strong internal controls and support process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred)Minimum 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with exposure to both FP&A and ControllingStrong accounting foundation, capable of reviewing and performing GL processes, reconciliations, and ERP transactionsProven ability to combine strategic business partnering with hands-on executionAdvanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, process automation)ERP experience required (MS Dynamics and Oracle preferred)Excellent communication skills with high energy, ownership, and ability to influence stakeholdersFluency in English is required; Norwegian are considered a strong advantageExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a mustPrior experience managing or supporting multi-country operations is a plus
