About the Role
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining and effective AIA IT (M) Finance function in line with Group standards• Responsible for all core financial related functions and activities for AIA IT (M)
• Contribute to strategic planning and development for AIA IT (M)
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Accountable for financial account management, including cost center setup, expense recording, financial control, account receivables, account payable, invoice & collections with counter-parties (AIA business units, and third-parties)
Accountable for the cash flow projection and analysis, financial planning and analysis and direct and indirect tax compliance, internal audits, budget and financial management
Accountable for the financial statements prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and relevant accounting standards
Accountable for regular financial reporting submission as per Group Finance’s standards regulatory reporting, and formulate local regular management reports
Establish, maintain and enhance policies and procedures in line with Group standards, and ensure compliance, including facilitation of information, communication and training of employees with regards to financial related affairs
Lead corporate financial matters including liaises with Company Secretary for board related matters, preparation of board papers, attending board meeting and internal audit meetings
Lead and liaise closely with external parties including business partners, regulatory bodies, internal / external auditors, tax agents and bank
Lead timely budget and business planning process to ensure quality of budget process using common supporting templates for key business variables and expenses drives
Partner with the General Manager of AIA IT (M) on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue / expense analysis
Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team
Provide appropriate financial data and analysis including project financial appraisals to support business decision making process
Build, lead and maintain a Finance team within AIA IT (M)
Job Requirements
At least 15 years working experience in accounting or finance, of which at least 3-5 years should be at senior management level
Degree in Accounting or Finance and professional Accounting qualification.
Strong leadership, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Exposure to business operations will be an added advantage
Strong influencing skills to engage partners and stakeholders in the delivery of key goals
Effective communication and relationship skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
Ability to demonstrate independent leadership, judgment, and decision-making
Good interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and strong sense of urgency
Independent, self-motivated, committed, ability to perform and deliver under pressure
Ability to adjust to multiple and changing priorities, remaining flexible, open, and collaborative
