The Head of Education ANZ will lead AWS’s Education business across Australia, owning the strategy and execution to accelerate cloud adoption and digital transformation for K–12, higher education, and research customers across ANZ. This senior leader will build and scale a high‑performing go‑to‑market organisation, develop deep executive relationships across the education ecosystem, and align cross‑functional AWS teams and partners to deliver measurable customer and student outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
Define and own the multi‑year strategy for AWS’s Education business across ANZ, including growth priorities across schools, higher education, VET, and research segments.
Lead, hire, and develop a high‑performing team focused on education customers.
Build and maintain C‑suite and senior executive relationships with vice‑chancellors, CIOs, CFOs, and system leaders, becoming a trusted advisor on cloud, AI, and digital transformation.
Drive adoption of the full suite of AWS services, including core infrastructure, data and analytics, AI/ML, and industry solutions tailored for education and research workloads.
Develop and manage complex, multi‑year sales and transformation cycles from opportunity identification through to commercial negotiation and long‑term value realisation.
Partner with AWS Training & Certification and internal skills programs to help customers build cloud and AI capability at scale for educators, IT teams, and students.
Build and leverage a robust ecosystem of partners (edtechs, SIs, ISVs, content providers) to deliver integrated solutions that meet local curriculum, research, and compliance needs.
Represent AWS at industry forums, sector conferences, and government roundtables, articulating AWS’s education vision and amplifying customer success stories.
Own business performance for the ANZ Education segment, including revenue, pipeline health, forecasting, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Drive mechanisms to capture customer feedback and inform AWS service teams and global education leadership on emerging needs and opportunities in ANZ.
