Head of Development - Scotland

£83,874 - £88,288 per year plus Company Car or Car Buyout

We have an opportunity for a Head of Development to join our development department covering Scotland. Reporting into the Director of Development this role will offer the opportunity to provide strategic direction to support the on-going development and effective delivery of the Group’s development services. The Head of Development – Scotland will play an instrumental role in advising and supporting Group Directors and Senior Managers, whilst contributing to the Development strategy, policy framework and investment planning. This is a great opportunity for an experienced development professional to be pivotal in contributing to the delivery of the Group’s development strategy.
The role of Head of Development – Scotland will include:
Leading the efficient procurement, delivery and management of development and remodeling programmes and projects Ensuring the delivery of high quality and value for money development programmes with agreed capital expenditure budgets through effective financial management to achieve timely completion of projects Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external customers and strategic partners Ensuring that development opportunities and projects meet required legislation, best practice and financial performance
Skills and experiences:
An experienced Development professional with a proven track record of delivering large scale capital development projects in a social housing or similar environment Managing and coordinating consultant teams, procuring contractors and managing statutory authorities Previous experience of implementing strategy for a large, complex organisation Proven track record of people management and development Skilled at actively building and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and strategic partners Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential
