More about the role: 

This role will focus on projects across the south east region and will be based out of out office in Gray's Inn Road (WC1X). 

 
The Head of Development leads the delivery of a complex and varied regional development programme, ensuring alignment with Group objectives. This includes managing large-scale mixed-use, affordable, and commercial schemes, as well as Joint Ventures. The role involves securing new business opportunities, negotiating acquisitions, managing planning processes, and overseeing financial appraisals and business cases. It also includes leading internal governance, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring effective collaboration across departments and with external partners to deliver high-quality, commercially viable outcomes. 

 

More about you: 
A commercially focused and strategic leader, the Head of Development brings deep experience in residential and mixed-use development, with strong skills in land acquisition, financial modelling, and stakeholder engagement. They are confident managing risk, driving value, and representing the organisation externally. With a collaborative approach and strong leadership capability, they support high-performing teams and work cross-functionally to ensure the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion. 

Essential Criteria to be eligible for shortlisting: 

Ability to manage multiple, high profile, complex projects with various stakeholders and partners.  Strong understanding of estate regeneration and affordable housing.  Track record of large site delivery.
