We’re looking for a collaborative, innovative data leader to shape the future of analytics at Capital One. As Head of Data Analytics, you’ll lead a centralised team of 35 analysts across four teams, driving insights, enabling strategy, and embedding data into every business decision. Reporting to the Head of Data, you’ll partner with Strategy, Operations, Product, Finance, AML, and Risk to deliver analytical excellence across the UK business.
What you’ll do
Define and deliver a vision for Data Analytics aligned to business goals
Provide thought leadership on platforms, practices, and trends to ensure best-in-class analytics
Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of 35 analysts
Drive efficiency and innovation in analytical products through technology
Influence strategy across the business, embedding data in decision-making
Ensure effective design and integration of new data solutions
Set and uphold standards for analytics, governance, and data use
Manage team budgets within the broader Data organisation
Contribute to the UK Data Leadership team across Analytics, Stewardship, Governance & Decisioning
What we’re looking for
You’re a proven leader with a passion for data, experienced in scaling and guiding large teams within data-driven organisations. You can shape vision, deliver results, and influence senior stakeholders with confidence. You’re also an excellent communicator who fosters collaboration and develops top talent.
Key skills & experience
Strong leadership of large, cross-functional data teams
Proven ability to deliver results and embed data in strategic decisions
Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams
Experience in Data Analytics, Reporting, and Campaign Management
Deep knowledge of data applications, processes, and cloud infrastructure
Technical expertise: Cloud Data Products, SQL, Python
Background in financial services or technology
Understanding of UK regulatory landscapes and consumer lending
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
