Head of Credit Risk & Analytics

As Head of Credit Risk and Analytics, you will lead the Bank’s second line Credit Risk Function, driving the optimisation and embedding of a robust Credit Risk Management Framework. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the Bank’s credit risk strategy, ensuring it remains scalable, compliant, and aligned with our business objectives.

You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of credit risk metrics, management information (MI), and reporting tools that support the Bank’s risk appetite and ICAAP processes. Your leadership will ensure effective oversight of counterparties and transactions, through the design and implementation of credit infrastructure, scorecards, and performance monitoring.

This role demands a strategic thinker and subject matter expert who can collaborate across first and second line functions, provide challenge and assurance, and deliver insights that support the Bank’s growth and regulatory commitments.

The minimum requirements we seek:

Extensive experience managing end-to-end credit activities within a retail and/or commercial banking environment, with a proven track record of driving process improvements to deliver best-in-class operationsDemonstrated success in setting and executing risk strategies to support year-on-year growth of loan portfoliosStrong ability to assess creditworthiness of counterparties, including analysis of financial statements and external research sourcesGravitas and confidence in high-stakes negotiations, with the ability to build and leverage strong relationships across internal and external stakeholdersAnalytical and data-driven mindset, with a focus on identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex business challengesProven leadership experience, ideally with a background in building and managing geographically dispersed teamsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders, board members, and global stakeholdersExperience in operating or establishing a successful risk-based pricing model

This position is based in Dunton, and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton office for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
