Job Description Head of Contracts and Program Management   We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as head of Commercial Excellence, Contracts, and Program management. This multi-faceted role is critical to the efficiency and effectiveness of our commercial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving commercial excellence initiatives, managing our portfolio of commercial contracts, and overseeing key strategic programs. This position requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and hands-on execution.   Position Summary: As integral part of SGS Divisional management team, and in partnership with Executive Sales, Corporate Management, and Legal Counsel, the primary function of this position is to work with Sales and Operations to interface and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise, business strategy and commercial advice and counsel in contracting practices to drive and coordinate the review, negotiation and administration of company contracts with its OEM customers and actively participate in M&A for the division. Including supporting Plants in customer contractual disputes, escalations and lead settlement and releases upon termination. This person is expected to assume a leadership role and manage the commercial contract negotiation and review function for SGS, as well as for training and providing direction to the Program Management team at all sites globally.   Job Responsibilities: Contract Management: Best Practices: Lead the development and implementation of commercial best practices across the organization, including sales methodologies, pricing strategies, and go-to-market execution. Training & Enablement: Create and deliver training materials and programs to the sales team and other commercial stakeholders to ensure consistent application of commercial processes and tools. Process Improvement: Identify, analyze, and implement process improvements to enhance commercial efficiency, sales effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of commercial strategies and initiatives. Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution, renewal, and termination. Negotiation Support: Provide expert support to sales and legal teams during contract negotiations, including drafting redlines and summarizing key terms. Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure all contracts adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Identify and mitigate potential contractual risks. Reporting: Generate reports on contract status, key dates, and performance against contractual obligations. Program Management: Program Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic commercial programs and initiatives. This may include M&A activities and major customer-facing programs. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment and successful program outcomes. Communication: Develop and maintain clear communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of program progress, challenges, and successes.   Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. [15+] years of experience in a commercial operation, contract management, or program management role. Proven track record of managing complex projects and driving process improvements. Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
