Head of Content & Publisher Marketing, Books Consumer Marketing

We're seeking a strategic leader to drive the long-term vision and execution of our Books Content & Publisher Marketing function, focused on elevating books in popular culture, driving discovery, and delighting readers and industry partners. This position is a people manager role, leading initiatives that involve engagement across product, vendor management, finance, editorial, business intelligence within the Books org and amongst other media-focused teams at Amazon (Video, Music, Podcasting). This role is responsible with fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision making Key job responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Innovation: Develop and execute the long-term Content Marketing strategy, including resource allocation, investment planning, and goal-setting Drive strategic communication with senior leadership and influence organizational priorities through OP1 ownership Create and implement net-new marketing solutions with broad cross-organizational impact Team Leadership & Development: Direct management of US-based Content, Publisher, and Synergy Marketing Managers Orchestrate integrated marketing campaigns including owned and external marketing channels Cross-Functional Partnership Development: Design and implement cross-vertical partnerships across Amazon's media categories to feature books and reading. Create scalable solutions and playbooks for collaboration with Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Alexa Drive alignment on joint roadmaps and strategic initiatives Measurement & Analytics Develop new measurement frameworks and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness Establish scalable reporting systems that can be adopted across teams Basic Qualifications - 10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience - Experience managing teams - Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements - Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) - Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications - Experience leading across multiple locales - Experience communicating results to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
