About the role:
This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and completing Diageo’s consumer digital strategy, orchestrating the full end-to-end digital journey — from discovery and engagement to conversion and dedication — across all owned, earned, and paid digital touchpoints.
The role combines strategic vision, digital ecosystem design, media innovation, and data-driven execution to drive business growth and elevate brand equity. As Head of Consumer Digital, you will ensure that every interaction with our brands in the digital world delivers outstanding consumer experiences and measurable business impact. You will lead digital performance, unlock the power of first-party data, and embed a culture of digital excellence and experimentation across the marketing organization.
Key Responsabilities:
Digital Consumer Experience & Ecosystem Design: Architect and optimize the digital consumer ecosystem across web, apps, content hubs, and emerging touchpoints. Ensure world-class UX, SEO, accessibility, and content effectiveness across all consumer-facing platforms.
Media & Performance Marketing: Lead digital media planning, buying, and optimization across platforms (e.g., Meta, YouTube, TikTok, programmatic, retail media). Drive media performance through close collaboration with agency partners and internal teams. Evolve Diageo’s media effectiveness frameworks in partnership with global centers of excellence.
Data Strategy & Personalization: Define and complete our consumer data strategy — from acquisition and enrichment to segmentation and activation. Lead CRM development and drive personalization at scale across owned and paid channels, creating dynamic and relevant consumer journeys.
Capability Building & Governance: Institutionalize the use of Diageo’s global tools and systems (Catalyst, Sensor, Paid Media Sufficiency, Marketing M&E) across all brand teams. Build internal capabilities around digital performance, and lead the marketing effectiveness (M&E) agenda with clear critical metrics and learning loops to fuel continuous improvement.
Digital Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of digital, consumer, and technology trends. Champion innovation, pilot new platforms and tools, and embed digital thinking into the DNA of our brand building and cultural activations.
About You:
12+ years of experience in digital marketing, media strategy, and performance measurement — ideally within CPG, retail, or digital-first environments.
Proven track record leading digital acceleration and transformation across multi-brand portfolios.
Strong critical thinking, with the ability to link digital activity to commercial outcomes and brand equity.
Deep expertise in performance marketing channels (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads, Programmatic, SEO/SEM, retail media).
Exceptional cross-functional leadership and collaborator management, with experience navigating global, regional, and local contexts.
