This role will lead large initiatives / projects, aid in the design market‑competitive pay programs, construct executive offers, support A&D activity (acquisitions and divestitures), and lead year‑end and year-round compensation strategies. The ideal candidate combines deep technical compensation expertise with strong leadership, analytical rigor, and collaborative stakeholder management. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead compensation strategy, design and governance for Johnson & Johnson’s corporate functions globally, ensuring alignment to business strategy and pay philosophy. + Lead the EMEA compensation & benefits team— ensure local market competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company’s pay for performance philosophy. + Design and maintain base pay and bonus structures for EMEA. + Construct, negotiate and deliver executive offers (senior management and above). + Support integrations, acquisitions and divestitures from a compensation perspective (due diligence input, offer design, harmonization, implementation and termination scenarios). + Lead year‑end reward cycle planning and execution (merit, bonus, long-term incentives) and develop year‑round strategies to support retention and performance objectives for respective client groups. + Partner with HR and business partners to translate business needs into effective compensation solutions. + Oversee compensation analytics: market benchmarking, cost modeling and scenario planning to inform decision‑making. + Lead, develop and coach a high-performing compensation team; manage external vendor relationships (market data providers, consultants). + Communicate compensation programs and changes clearly to leaders and employees; provide training and enablement to HR partners. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics or related field (advanced degree such as MBA or master’s in HR/comp preferred) or equivalent experience. + 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on compensation design and program management. + Demonstrated experience designing and managing compensation programs across corporate functions and multiple geographies, preferably including EMEA. + Proven experience constructing executive offers and supporting compensation in A&D transactions. + Strong analytical capability — able to interpret market data, build financial models, and produce actionable insights. + Excellent project management skills; experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives with tight timelines. + Experience leading and developing teams. + Strategic thinker with a results orientation and a collaborative, stakeholder‑first approach. + Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams. **Preferred** + Deep familiarity with EMEA compensation markets, regulatory requirements, and benefits landscapes. + Experience with global HRIS and compensation platforms (e.g., Workday or similar) + Experience at a large, matrixed multinational organization and exposure to highly regulated industries. **Core Competencies & Behaviors** + Strategic orientation and business acumen — aligns compensation design with corporate objectives. + Analytical mindset — data‑driven and detail-oriented. + Leadership presence — builds influence with executives, HR leaders, and cross-functional partners. + Collaboration and stakeholder management — able to navigate complex, matrixed environments. + Integrity and confidentiality — handles sensitive compensation and executive information responsibly. + Change leadership — comfortable leading transformation and continuous improvement. **Travel & Work Environment** + Regular collaboration with EMEA stakeholders; travel within the region may be required (estimated up to 10%, subject to business needs). + Hybrid work model aligned with business and local policies. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
