The role is both strategic and operational, overseeing the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies across the MCO._ **KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES** **Strategic Leadership** + Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive communication strategies for the MCO, aligning with global and Key Markets Corporate Affairs and MCO business objectives + Act as a key member of the MCO leadership team, providing communications counsel and support to MCO Lead and GBU General Managers Lead the communications team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement **Internal Communications** + Direct the creation and implementation of employee engagement initiatives across the MCO + Oversee the management and improvement of internal communications channels + Guide the development of high-quality content for internal communications + Collaborate with brand teams and business units to raise awareness of key therapeutic areas and business priorities + Localize and implement global and Key Markets communication initiatives for the MCO **External Communications** + Lead the development and execution of external communication strategies to enhance Sanofi's reputation in the MCO region + Oversee media relations, maintaining positive relationships with key media outlets + Guide the creation of content for external communications, including press releases, speeches, and social media content + Act as the senior spokesperson for the MCO **Stakeholder Management** + Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders + Collaborate with Global and Key Markets Corporate Affairs teams to ensure alignment and leverage best practices + Manage relationships with external partners, including PR, event, and social media agencies **Compliance and Ethics** + Ensure all communications activities adhere to Sanofi's Code of Ethics and relevant legal requirements + Promote ethical leadership within the communications team and across the MCO + Oversee crisis communications preparedness and response for the MCO **KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS** **INTERNAL** + MCO Leadership Team + GBU General Managers + Global and Key Markets Corporate Affairs + Medico-Marketing Teams + Key Functions across the MCO **EXTERNAL** + Media and Key Opinion Leaders + PR and Creative Agencies + Industry Associations + Regulatory Bodies _About you_ This role requires a seasoned communications professional who can elevate the function to a strategic level within the MCO, driving business results through effective communication strategies and leadership. **SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS** + Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role + Proven experience in healthcare communications, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry + Strong understanding of the MCO region's media landscape and cultural nuances + Excellent command of written and spoken English + Strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into effective communication strategies + Outstanding leadership and team management skills + Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities + Crisis management experience + Digital communications expertise _Why choose us?_ We are an innovative global healthcare company with one purpose: to chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.
