About the role
You will be responsible for leading the transformation of Qatar Airways catering compliance processes and systems for both food and non-food, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality standards. The role will design and implement performance metrics and KPIs for suppliers and partners, aligning them with Qatar Airways standards and objectives. The role will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop strategies that drive continuous supplier performance improvement, including collaborating with operations and stakeholders within the wider Qatar Airways group of business units such as cabin crew etc. to deliver performance improvement programs and increase customer experience NPS scores. Responsible to formulate and oversee the implementation of Qatar Airways Catering Services (QRCS) compliance strategy, including policies and procedures, to mitigate risks, ensure adherence to group policies, and uphold ethical standards.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
Strategic
Lead the transformation of catering processes and systems by designing and implementing innovative, scalable solutions for food and non-food services to achieve consistent delivery of high-quality standards aligned with Qatar Airways’ brand promise. Set and align supplier performance expectations by defining KPIs and service level agreements with global suppliers and partners to ensure alignment with Qatar Airways standards and drive operational excellence Establish and oversee the catering compliance strategy by formulating policies and risk mitigation protocols in line with regulatory and internal requirements to maintain ethical standards and ensure adherence to Qatar Airways Group policies Enhance brand reputation by developing long-term performance improvement strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g., Cabin Crew, Procurement, Operations) to increase NSP scores and overall satisfaction. Act as liaison with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with emerging regulatory changes for single use plastic regulation, International Waste Program, Food and Safety. Responsible to provide strategic leadership in performance management, utilizing data and reporting tools to monitor deliver, enhance customer satisfaction and achieve financial sustainability targets. Connect with industry peers to leverage strength for discussion with official entities to achieve recyclable program.Operational
Implement and monitor supplier performance metrics by conducting regular audits, performance reviews, and data analysis to ensure service consistency and identify areas for improvement. Drive cross-functional collaboration across departments by facilitating feedback loops, and joint planning sessions with operational teams to align catering deliverables with end-user expectations and service needs Ensure compliance with global and local regulations by supervising adherence to food safety, hygiene, and aviation standards to mitigate operational and reputational risks Develop new audit program tailored for non-food suppliers by aligning it with Qatar Airways’ values and mission, leading to improved oversight and alignment with corporate standards. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations. Conduct regular training and audits to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in all catering operations. Support continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging customer feedback, NSP data, and operational insights to implement service innovations and corrective action plans. Maintain performance dashboards and reporting systems by utilizing digital tools and reporting platforms to enable data-driven decision-making and real-time visibility of supplier and internal performance. Establish quality standards and Acceptable Quality Limits (AQLs) for all SKUs by aligning them with legal requirements and industry best practices, which ensured consistent product quality and reduced non-compliance issues.. Define quality and performance targets for all suppliers through data-driven evaluations and continuous monitoring systems, leading to measurable improvements in supplier output and alignment with business objectives. Review the use of single-use plastics across operations by identifying high-impact areas and proposing eco-friendly alternatives, contributing to a reduction in environmental footprint and improved sustainability compliance.
